The Clerk of Court provides assistance to all officers of the Court and the public in filing of all traffic, criminal and deprivation documentation concerning juveniles, records all juvenile hearings, and maintains all juvenile court records.

Rule 21. Electronic Submission of Objection To Change of Placement

Filing an Objection to a Change of Placement
 There are two options available for electronically filing an objection to a change of placement:

  1. E-filing via JCATS
    A register user of JCATS may submit objections through JCATS e-filing system.
    This method is only available to users with authorized access.
  2. Submit by Email
    Objections may also be submitted by email to juvclerk@chathamcounty.org.
    All parties entitled to notice must be copied on the email.
    The subject line and body of the email must include the following information:
    • Electronic Notice of Objection to Change of Placement Pursuant to O.C.G.A ยง 15-11-215.
    • Full name(s) of the child or children, date(s) of birth, and all relevant case number(s).
    • Name of the individual filing the objection.
    • A brief summary of the reason for the objection.
The objection will be filed stamped, emailed to all parties, printed, and added to the official court file. Copies will be sent by U.S. Mail to all parties entitled to notice who are not represented by an attorney.
