Judgment on Pleadings (Uncontested Divorces, Legitimations, Modifications, Name Changes)
* Uncontested (that is, agreed to by both parties or no answer filed by respondent) matters such as divorces, legitimations and modifications do not require a court hearing. E-File with
the Superior Court Clerk's Office the form called "motion for judgment on the pleadings," together with a final disposition form (form online at the Clerk of Superior Court website,
chathamcourts.org). Both must be filled out and the judge will review it for signature. You will receive notice of the filing of the signed
final judgment with the Clerk of Court.
